Simple, low cost adjustable lend holder for monochromators
Large clear aperture
Rod or flange mounted
Our 77258 is a simple lens holder, frequently used for focusing the output of a collimated source onto a monochromator. It features precise 2 mm X and Y adjustments, has a large 1.38 inch (35 mm) clear aperture, and has a 1.5 Inch Series female flange for direct coupling to Oriel instruments. It was designed as an alternative for those who don’t need a lens holder with focus adjustment or an integral filter holder and manual shutter, like the 77260 and 77330Focusing Assemblies.
These kits consist of a spacer tube and a bi-convex or plano convex lens. Use them in conjunction with the 77258 to focus collimated light into a monochromator, or image the diverging output of a monochromator onto a detector (Fig. 1). The F/# of the lens matches the input cone of the monochromator. The lenses are large, 1.5 inches (38 mm) in diameter, to collect all of the output from an Oriel 1.5 Inch Series source. We offer glass and fused silica models.
