Control detector temperature with confidence
Provide precise and reproducible control
Optimized for optical detectors
Operation at decreased, controlled temperatures helps lower the noise levels of many detectors and stabilize their responsivities. Our Cooler Controller provides temperature control to any of our cooled detectors. You can also use this 1.25 A current capacity controller with your own TE cooled device, within the controller\'s operating range. Please check temperature sensor compatibility and current and voltage drive requirements if you plan to use the 77055 with other manufacturers’ detectors or other cooled devices.
The 77055 Controller has been designed for easy setup and reliable, safe operation. The primary controls are a three digital thumb pot for a setting temperature (actually thermistor resistance) and a cooler on/off switch. LEDs indicate cooler on, cooling in process, and cooler ready. Remote cooler on/off control input (TTL) and cooler ready output (TTL) signals are provided. The current limit setting will prevent overdriving TE modules. The power supply is of a linear type to provide low noise power to the detector\'s TE modules and avoid becoming an additional noise source.
The 77055 \'s use is not limited to Newport\'s Oriel Detectors. The flexibility of this controller supports use in a wide range of temperature control situations. If your power requirements are 3.75 watts or less (1.25 A max) and the temperature sensing device is an NTC thermistor, the 77055 will provide stable and convenient operation.
