Convenient electrical accessories for use with our photodetectors and photoreceivers
Essential SMA-BNC adapters
Reasonably priced 40-GHz flexible cable
Every piece of equipment that you use when making a measurement can affect your result. From the most expensive and sophisticated instrument to the simplest connector or cable, you’ll want to ensure that you’re getting the best performance.
Since the losses in electrical cables and connectors depend on the frequency of the RF signal, you’ll want to use the correct cable type, length, and connector. For example, typical coaxial cables, which are made with RG-58, are very lossy beyond 1 GHz and shouldn’t be used with our ≥12-GHz photoreceivers and photodetectors. Very expensive cables are available up to 50 GHz with acceptable, but non-negligible, losses. Our 40-GHz flex cables give you high performance at a reasonable cost. We also offer a few adapters for your convenience. All our ultrahigh-speed photodetectors have male connector outputs to mate directly to most test instrumentation.
