The 66088 Fiber Optic Illuminator is a cost effective 150 watt quartz halogen light source which can be easily coupled for fiber optic delivery. The 66088 features a DC-regulated output, which is stabilized to ±0.5%. Precision regulation allows for use in applications requiring stable output, where variation in input line voltages would otherwise produce an adverse effect.

The 66088 maintains a compact size, while offering features such as a linear remote intensity control option, Universal AC Input Power, and color filtering capability. The nosepiece is compatible with all Oriel standard fiber optic configurations using a 77817 Flange adapter to interface to any 11mm OD fiber or liquid light guide. The 77817 is sold separately.

The lamp fits into a pre-aligned lamp mount; no alignment is necessary when you change lamps. We offer two lamp choices and numerous fiber optic choices.

Lamp

Oriel offers a 150 W QTH lamp with a dichroic reflector surrounding the lamp; the difference is the F/# of the reflector (see Table 1). The reflector collects almost all of the lamp\'s radiation and focuses it to a point several mm in diameter.

Intensity Control and AND Remote ON/OFF included

You can vary the color temperature (output intensity) of this source from 0 to 3300 K by adjusting the voltage from 0 to 21 V, via a front panel intensity control knob.
Another convenient feature of the 66088 is the remote on/off. You can turn the source on and off via TTL signalswhich can be used so it acts as a simple shutter.
