Stable VIS-NIR sources
Simultaneous illumination of two samples
Collimated or focused outputs
Each light source part number begins with its Legacy Part Number, the predecessor to these light sources. The rest of the part number tells the lamp power and type of lamp included, along with the type of lamp housing and the lamp orientation the included socket assembly allows the lamp to mounted. The part number is explained as follows:
Legacy Part Number - Lamp Power and Type - Mount Orientation
Legacy Part Number | Lamp Power and Type | Mount Orientation |
---|---|---|
66877- 66878- 66890- 66891- 66892- |
50QS-50 W QTH Short Filament 50Q-50 W QTH 100Q-100 W QTH |
H-Horizontal V-Vertical |
The following Series Q QTH Configurations are available. Each QTH Source includes the lamp, socket adapter, 60090 QTH lamp interface kit for 60000 Q Series Housing, 60005 reflector assembly, collimating lens, and power supply as shown in the table below:
These sources come with everything needed to begin operation. They include the following:
60000 Q Series Housing with condensor lens assembly, 60005 rear reflector assembly, and X, Y, Z lamp position adjusters
OPS-Q250 Power Supply
QTH Lamp with appropriate socket adapter per Model Number as indicated in the table above
60090 Interface kit, for connecting 60000 to OPS-Q250 , only for IR Emitters and QTH Lamps
These sources provide visible and near infrared radiation with minimal ultraviolet. These light sources are widely used for radiometric and photometric applications, and as visible excitation sources.
The Series Q Lamp Housing is what makes these systems so versatile. Two output ports allow simultaneous illumination of two samples. The 60000 Series Q has four output ports, but because of the asymmetrical filament of QTH lamps, light can be efficiently collected only from the front and back of the lamp. The housing has X, Y, Z lamp adjusters letting the filament be accurately positioned for light collection. It uses natural convection cooling so it’s quiet and stable! These sources only include one condensing lens assembly. For multiple outputs, order additional condensing lens assemblies.
The 60000 is a versatile, protective enclosure for low wattage QTH lamps. External, high resolution controls allow ±0.13 inch (±3.3 mm) lamp adjustment in the X, Y and Z directions. One condensor lens assembly and one rear reflector to collect the lamp\'s back radiation is included. An additional reflector assembly with a second condenser for the simultaneous illumination of two samples can be purchased seperately.
The 60090 Interface Kit is used to connect a Q Series lamp housing to the OPS-Q250 power supply. This item provides the electronic interface to utilize quartz tungsten halogen (QTH) lamps and IR emitters with the 60000 Q Housing. It also includes a safety interlock feature to ensure the lamp/emitter cannot be used without the lamp housing cover being in place.
Note that the 60090 is not for use with arc lamps or deuterium lamps. Because the Q Series Lamp Housing is designed to be flexible and easy to reconfigure, when using these other types of light sources, order the appropriate interface kit. The 60090 Interface Kit includes the 70050Lamp Housing Interconnection cable for operating connecting the 60090 with the OPS-Q250power supply. This cable can also be purchased seperately if a replacement is needed.
The OPS-Q250 is a high stability current and voltage source for operating 45-250 W quartz tungsten halogen (QTH) lamps. A large LCD screen and easy to use push button and knob conveniently located on the front panel allow the user to navigate through the power supply’s functions. These functions include choice of Power, Current, and Intensity control modes and setting the limits and observing in real time the important parameters of each operating mode. Up to four Setups consisting of these preset parameters can be saved for easy recall in the future. For users that prefer computer control, RS-232 and USB connectors are located on the rear panel to control all of the power supply’s capabilities on a Windows based PC. Additional connectors on the rear panel of the power supply allow for the control of a LIK-LMP Light Intensity Controller Kit (sold seperately). When operating with the LIK-LMP , the power supply is able to maintain the temperature of the detector head from 0-25 ˚C. The OPS-Q250 also monitors how long the current lamp in use has been operated, allowing the user to determine when the lamp should be approaching the end of its usable lifetime. The OPS model power supplies are also CE and RoHS compliant.
