Our Mid-IR Faraday optical isolators act essentially a uni-directional light valve. It is used to protect a laser source near 2050 nm or 4550 nm from destabilizing feedback or actual damage from back-reflected light.

Features

Medium Power BK-7 PBS Cube

OP-bbpolcube-S-1

Mid-IR Faraday isolators use high damage threshold BK-7 polarizing beamsplitter (PBS) cubes and provide double escape ports for added application flexibility.

High Verdet Constant

The TGG utilized in our Faraday Isolators, creates a large Verdet constant that ultimately describes the strength of the Faraday effect.

Low Absorption Coefficients

Our Faraday Isolators have low absorption as a function of the TGG and Polarizers.

1/2 Waveplate Option

half

We offer versions with an added 1/2 wave plate at the output stage so that the direction of the output beam polarization can be rotated to a desired direction.
