Our Model 9940 , flex-lock post, is perfect for holding cameras or detectors at any location, leaving your hands free to do your experiment. This double hinged post can support more than a 100-inch-pound (11 N•m) load at any location or angle. Each threaded end rotates 360° about its own axis and 360° about the main axis, and swings 90° to the side. Once in position, a single screw simultaneously locks all joints. The English version has a 1/4-20 tapped hole at one end and an 8-32 tapped hole at the other. The metric version has a M6 tapped hole at one end and an M4 tapped hole at the other.

The Perfect Microscope or Camera Stand

You’re at the point where you can’t seem to position your camera or microscope at the one perfect angle so you can see your sample. Our flex-lock post can solve your problem. (It solved ours.)
For years professional photographers have been using double-ball joints to position their cameras. With the flex-lock post, we’ve brought this concept into the lab. This double ball-jointed positioner can be used in conjunction with 1/2 posts to hold a component, such as a camera, at any location and orientation. Once your object is in position, a single screw simultaneously locks all joints.
