Stainless steel and aluminum designs
Newport offers a selection of both aluminum and stainless steel slotted bases. Newport’s series of stainless steel slotted bases offer increased stiffness and thermal stability over conventional materials. Each of the three models incorporates a unique 0.5 in. (12.7 mm) index grid pattern to assist in more accurate alignment. These bases attach via thumb screws or bolts, through slots that allow one or two axis translation and rigid lock down. They have counterbored clearance holes for mounting post holders, rails, and a variety of other components.
Model B-2SA , provides coarse tool-free x-y positioning through the novel use of a hex head bolt in a counterbored slot. Simply twist the post holder to loosen, slide to the desired position, and then twist back to tighten — all without removing the base from the table!
Model B-1A is a convenient base for table mounted components such as post holders.
The Model B-05A provides a single clamping bolt allowing positioning to any point on the table.
Model M-B-1.25 allows a 25 x 25 mm stage to be attached to a 40 x 40 mm stage. Model M-B-2C allows a 25 x 25 mm stage to be attached to an optical table or a 65 x 65 mm stage. ModelB-2B allows 25 x 25 mm or 40 x 40 mm stages to be attached to a 65 x 65 mm stage, an optical table, or other products with a standard 1 in. (25 mm) hole pattern.
The Model 30 Rotary Adaptor is a rigid, compact mounting interface that attaches to posts, stages and a variety of other components, and provides coarse full circle adjustability with bolt-down stability.
