Periscope Beam Steerers are multifunction optical tools that let you easily change your laser beam\'s optical axis height, steer its direction and even change polarization. Several versions are available including highly stable rail-based periscopes, versatile pedestal periscopes, and low-cost fixed types.

BSD-RModel BSD-2R Rail Periscope has captive 45-degree mirror holders which allow coarse beam steering wtih a ball driver(mirrors sold separately).

The BSD-2R Rail Periscope has Suprema-series stainless steel kinematic mounts for excellent stability and adjustability, a robust stainless steel rail-post which prevents inadvertent rotation during beam height adjustment, captive 45-degree mirror holders which will not fall out while being rotated, and a powerful magnetic pedestal base with 12 lb of holding force for safe placement prior to clamp down with an included fork. The separate components of the BSD-2R can also be purchased separately allowing customized periscope assemblies.

OM-beam_steerers-SModel BSD-2A Pedestal Periscope (Mirrors sold separately)

The BSD-2A Pedestal Periscope has two fully adjustable ULTIMA® Mirror Mounts with 45° mirror holders for 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter mirrors allow your beam to be precisely positioned. Sliding clamps on a solid stainless steel post, 8 inch (203.2 mm) high, when assembled, provide height adjustment with high stability. If a taller beam steerer is required, simply attach an extension post (see Pedestal Post System). The beam steerer is securely mounted anywhere on an optical table using the stainless steel clamping fork. Two 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter mirrors must be ordered separately.

9151An assembled 9151NF Periscope Kit (Mirrors sold separately)

The 9151 and 9173 pedestal periscopes are in kit form and include all the mechanical parts necessary to easily build your periscope-all you need to add are the mirrors. Each periscope kit includes two 6 in.-tall pedestals for sturdy mounting, two of our pedestal clamps to adjust the mirror to any height, two kinematic mounts, and a clamping fork. The 9151 utilizes 3-actuator kinematic mounts while the 9173 has 2-actuator mounts. We also include two unique 45° mirror adapters with thru-hole apertures, which allow beam splitting on the upper mount

BSD-FModel BSD-F has captive 45-degree mirror holders which allow one-handed locking (mirrors sold separately).

The BSD-F provides basic vertical height adjustment and 360 degrees of manual steering for optical beams. It features captive 1-in mirror holders that will not fall out during manual rotational adjustment, a magnetic pedestal base for safe handling, and height adjustment without tools all in a simple, low-cost design.
Two 1 in. (25.4 mm) diameter mirrors must be ordered separately for any of these periscope beam steerers see Optical Mirror Selection Guide.
