Newport’s LCM Series Lens Mounts reliably center and securely hold round optics and cylindrical objects. They are particularly useful when different-sized lenses must be interchanged while keeping the optical axis height constant. Model LCM-1 accommodates optics up to 1 in. (25.4 mm) diameter, while Model LCM-2 accepts up to 2 in. (50.8 mm) optics. Both models are oversized to provide easy finger access for inserting and removing optics.

The optic is held by non-marring Delrin rods that have modified V-groove tips to grip the edges of thin lenses and flat shoulders for registration of thicker optics.
These lens mounts are based on a familiar coaxial-ring concept designed so the mechanism is completely enclosed for ruggedness. A conveniently positioned actuator lever rotates a spring-loaded inner ring, which pivots the three optic support rods radially to provide automatic centration.

LCM Series Mounts can mount on SP Series Posts for easy adjustment of vertical height and azimuth angle. Alternatively, pedestal posts provide a selection of convenient, fixed optical axis heights and direct tie-down to tables and breadboards.
