Our low outgassing mirror mounts are designed for demanding clean and vacuum enviroments. Several key steps are taken in the design, machining, assembly and packaging of these mounts. We design our products to eliminate virtual leaks (no unvented voids allowed). We incorporate metals into our designs that are known to be vacuum compatible and desired or approved for use in vacuum systems. These materials are chosen from known technical sources such as specifications for CERN and NASA. We only use adhesives and materials in our designs that have recorded test data showing their vacuum compatibility.

Low Outgassing Tiny™ Mirror Mounts

These are our most compact vacuum compatible mirror mounts for applications where space is truly tight. Designed in the corner mount configuration, the optic is located at the fourth corner of the square formed with the three contact points. These stainless steel mounts have three 6-80 threaded actuators on sapphire seats, offering over 2 mm of pure translation and ±4° of tilt. All Tiny series mounts have #2 (M2) clearance holes for mounting and have standard Allen key adjusters. If you need knobs on these mounts, you can order our Model 9365 Tiny knobs.

SUPREMA® Series Clean and Low-Outgassing Mirror Mounts

These vacuum compatible SUPREMA® Stainless Steel Kinematic Optical Mounts are fabricated from powdered stainless steel and specially prepared for high vacuum environments. Two versions are available: The SN100 Clear Edge version with 127-TPI actuators and the SS100 Full Aperture version with 100-TPI actuators. Polished and lapped carbide pads enable smooth, repeatable motion and outstanding stability. These mounts have a two-actuator configuration with locking Hex Adjustment Screws providing tip and tilt adjustability. Convenient 8-32 (M4) counterbored clearance holes provide quick, precise, secure and stable mounting. SUPREMA mounts are compatible with standard post and post holder systems for adjustable height and pedestal posts for a stable fixed height.

ULTIMA® Series Clean and Low-Outgassing Mirror Mounts

This ULTIMA® Clear Quadrant Mirror Mount offers unsurpassed functionality for clean or high-vacuum environments. Thick front and rear plates and optimized, stiff springs improve the long-term stability and provide greater protection against vibrations. The patented clear quadrant design exposes the edge of the optic, allowing beams to pass close to the edge of a mounted optic. The actuators can be quickly changed to accommodate a broad selection of adjustment screws, micrometers, and motorized actuators. Polished carbide pads enable smooth, repeatable motion. A large array of optical mounting accessories is available for these mounts making ULTIMA a basic building block for many optical systems. This optical mount for 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter optics includes two 100 TPI locking actuators with hex key providing ±7° of tip/tilt adjustment. Convenient clearance mounting holes on each of two sides are compatible with either 8-32 or M4 screws providing quicker, more precise, and more secure mounting. ULTIMA mounts can be mounted to posts for adjustable height or pedestal posts for a stable fixed height.
