National Instruments is partnering with Honeywell to offer a wide range of bridge-based load cells, pressure transducers, and torque sensors. NI has tested each of these sensors and verified them for use with the NI PXIe-4330, NI PXIe-4331, NI 9219, and NI 9237 devices. Each sensor is Transducer Electronic Data Sheet (TEDS) enabled for ease of use. There are two different types of cable assemblies available; for RJ50 and Pigtail connectivity, NI offers 3ft. cables (783252-01 and 783255-01), 15ft. cables (783253-01 and 783256-01) and 25 ft. cables (783254-01 and 783257-01).
The Honeywell Model A-105 gage pressure transducers are manufactured with a unitized stainless steel diaphragm. The advantage of this type of design is that a thin diaphragm and heavy sidewalls are made from one piece of stainless steel. This unitized diaphragm is rugged, but it can be made thin enough to measure low pressures. Pressure ranges span from 100 psig to 15,000 psig (200 psi to 5,000 psi ranges available through NI). You can use these models in corrosive fluid environments. The Model A-105 has welded electrical connectors as an integral part of the transducer body, and is recommended for applications involving rough handling or where an all-welded stainless steel transducer is required.
