Kinematic stops are used as position index points to locate components on an optical table and allow them to be removed and inserted repeatedly. Kinematic nudgers are used to push or nudge a component, such as along a line defined by kinematic stops. Both Nudgers and Stops are designed with an inch-long slot sized for 1/4-20 (M6) screws to provide coarse positioning travel. The Nudger incorporates an 80-pitch adjustment screw with our patented locking mechanism to allow for 0.3 in. of fine travel.
