The 77259 X-Y-Z Focusing Lens Assembly is used to focus a collimated source onto a small target (slit, fiber, cuvette), This lower cost, stripped down version (no integral filter holder and shutter) has a larger clear aperture, 1.3 inch (33 mm), that gives you more than twice the throughput of the 77260. The 77259 uses only one lens. With a plano convex lens, the 77259 will focus a collimated beam, or collimate a diverging beam. With a bi-convex lens it will refocus a beam, but introduces a significantly higher level of spherical aberrations. The clear aperture of this assembly is 1.3 inches (33 mm), the size of the collimated beam from our 1.5 Inch Series Oriel Light Sources .Requires (1) 38.1 mm diameter Plano-convex or Bi-convex Lens (ordered separately).
