The 71889 Amplified UV Silicon Photodetector for Optical Power Meters is operated in photovoltaic mode for best DC and low frequency performance. This calibrated 10 mm x 10 mm UV Silicon detector has a 185 to 1100 nm range, which enables spectroradiometric measurements to be made. This version has a built-in trans impedance amplifier. The amplifier provides trans impedance gains from 10^4 V/A to 10^9 V/A. It also offers three selectable time constant settings in order to match the upper bandwidth limit of most experimental needs. The lowest noise levels can be achieved by operating at the lowest bandwidth setting. This amplified model requires +/-15 V DC to operate, which the Laboratory Power Supply models 70703 and 70709 can provide. This detector has been integrated into our 1.5 Inch Series female flanged housing.
