This intrinsic flatness and compatibility both simplifies the design of gain flattening filters (GFFs) and facilitates multi-sourcing by enabling the re-use of existing component stocks. Its core composition also promotes rapid mode-expansion during fusion-splicing, optimizing power output and noise figure and simplifying gain-module manufacture. This product offers an identical gain spectrum every time, with maximum batch-batch absorption variability just 0.00025 dB/m. This model replaces the legacy model F-EDF-T3.
