The F-SPV-C-1FC Bow Tie PM (Polarization Maintaining) Fiber Patch cord uses F-SFP fiber for 633 nm operation. This patch cord is 1 meter long with FC/UPC connectors at both ends. The slow axis is aligned to the connector key within +/- 1°.
The F-SPV Polarization Maintaining Fiber uses Fibercore's Bow-tie polarization maintaining (PM) fiber technology. This highly birefringent (HiBi) fiber has a beat-length of less than 2 mm. The beat-length, the length over which the fiber polarization rotates through 360°, is one of the fundamental performance measures: the shorter the beat-length, the better the polarization-preserving properties of the fiber. This Polarization Maintaining fiber has a 125 μm cladding, 245 μm coating, a 3.2 μm Mode Field Diameter, and a 0.14 to 0.18 NA.
