The F-C5-F3-1310 Collimator is designed to accept FC type fiber connectors and collimate a 1310 nm beam exiting a single-mode fiber to a 2.8 mm beam. Conversely, a laser beam can be launched into the assembly to focus the beam into a connected fiber. High quality, broadband AR coated, glass aspheric lenses are used for low insertion loss and beam sizes only limited by diffraction. The F-C5 Series may be mounted in the CLH-11 adaptor, which fits into most 1 in. mirror mounts. Applications include laser beam delivery systems, as well as coupling the output of a fiber into a detector. Applications of pairs of collimators include beam expansion systems for lab applications, as well as fiber-to-fiber coupling in compact components.
