The 10BR08AR.33 Precision Right-Angle Prism is precision polished to tight tolerances for more demanding applications. This AR.33 coated N-BK7 prism is 1 x 1 inch (25.4 x 25.4 mm) and 1 inch (25.4 mm) thick. It has a λ/4 surface flatness and a 20-10 surface quality. Newport's AR.33 1064 nm laser line antireflection coating is applied to the three prism faces and supports a 1064 nm wavelength. The antireflection coating reduces surface losses yet does not affect total internal reflection or the acceptance angle. This prism is recommended for general laboratory use in the 1064 nm range. By means of total internal reflection (TIR), a right-angle prism may be used as a 90° reflector or as a 180° retroreflector. Except for reflection losses from the entry and exit faces, TIR exhibits 100% reflectivity over a very large wavelength range.
