The KPA22AR.14 Precision Aspheric Lens is an aspheric lens, made with L-BAL35 optical glass, with 40.0 mm diameter and 40.0 mm effective focal length. AR.14 coating provides less than 1.5% reflection from 425 nm to 675 nm. Aspheric lenses can be used to reduce the number of lens element, thus reduce the size and weight of optical assemblies. Aspheric surfaces can increase the numerical aperture of a lens while minimizing system aberrations. These precision aspheric lenses are computer optimized for optimal performance with minimum aberrations. Exact performance parameters can be calculated by feeding the lens parameters in any standard optical design software.
