The M-PS-2-LC Precision Ground Stainless Steel Optical Pedestal maintains long-term optical system alignment. This 25.4 mm diameter post has a 50.8 mm height. Each post is marked with an index groove every 25.4 mm for a quick height reference. Cross-drilled holes allow 5 mm hex wrenches to aid in tightening and loosening assembled posts. An M4 threaded hole on each end allows optical pedestals and pedestal extenders to be attached together end-to-end using a setscrew. In-between heights can be achieved by combining a an optical pedestal with a 12.7 mm high post and/or spacers, available in 3.18 and 6.35 mm heights. For direct mounting to a threaded hole on an optical table, use a M6 to M4 thread adaptor. Optical pedestals enable ultra-stable mounting of optical mounts at low beam heights. Slotted clamping forks secure optical pedestals anywhere on an optical table.
