Compared to the standard 100-TPI mirror mount, the U100-A3K-170N provides 43% better sensitivity: 2.2 vs. 3.8 arc sec. The benefit of the 170-TPI adjuster was boosted by the results of timed alignment testing where the U100-A3K-170N could be consistently aligned to a band of less than +/- 3 µrad in about half the time as the same mount with 100-TPI threads. The U100-A3K-170N retains all of the outstanding features of the ULTIMA family including a patented clear quadrant design, actuators that can be quickly changed to accommodate a broad selection of other adjustment screws, micrometers, and motorized actuators, and hard carbide pads to enable smooth, repeatable ±7° of tip/tilt adjustment. A large array of optical mounting accessories is available for these mounts making ULTIMA a basic building block for many optical systems. Convenient clearance mounting holes on each of two sides are compatible with either 8-32 or M4 screws providing quicker, more precise, and more secure mounting. ULTIMA mounts can be mounted to posts for adjustable height or pedestal posts for a stable fixed height.
