Features

Precise Tracking with Sub-micron Resolution

Typical position resolutions of the 9X9 mm sensor is better than ±1 um, while the 4X4 mm sensor is better than ± 0.5 um. The linearity of the detector is better than 0.5 %. The detector head comes with an ambient light shield and can be fitted with up to three, stackable filters (ordered separately) to adjust the intensity level.

Quick Response with High Bandwidth

Measure the position and the power level at a high rate of up to 60 kHz bandwidth with 4X4 mm sensor, and up to 30 kHz with 9X9 mm sensor. The analog output is available with both the analog and the USB version.

Compact Electronics design

The Position Sensing Detector (PSD) head connects to the electronics pack via a 9-pin female D-sub connector. Analog versions include a second 9-pin male D-sub connector for interfacing the input and output signals, including power input and analog output signals to monitor power and displacement signals. After connecting the ±18 VDC power supply (included) at the input, the user simply plugs the output signals into a DVM or oscilloscope to monitor and record position and laser beam power. USB version includes a USB output connector and software package.

Multifunctional Software

The software provides an extensive range of graphical displays and analysis capabilities, where one can operate both the Position and Power measurements in parallel. While the Position sensing capability is activated the system provides a real-time display of position deviations, as well as data storage and temporal analysis. Relative measurements to any pre-defined point on the detector is also available.

Additionally, one can activate the Plot or Chart functions, in order to observe strip-chart type plots of either Power versus Time, or XY Position versus Time, with auto scaling and saving capabilities. The Scope function enables presentation of real time oscilloscope type display of beam Position deviations (or Power fluctuations) versus Time.
