Thorlabs UV Grade Fused Silica Plano-Convex Lenses are popular for many applications in the UV and Infrared region. Excellent transmission of these lenses extends down to 170 nm and out to 2.0 μm (see Graphs tab for transmission curve). Similar to our other Plano-Convex Lenses , UV Grade Fused Silica lenses have a positive focal length and approach best form for infinite and finite conjugate applications (please click here above for more UV and IR optics).

      UV Grade Fused Silica has better thermal characteristics than crown glass lenses like BK7. The low coefficient of expansion of fused silica helps prevent breakage and thermal distortion.
